Kodoku no Ookami Там выдвинули предположение, что эта девушка, что помогла Йо, как бы символизирует фанатов и их поддержку. кстати!! я не читала те комменты, но у меня тоже были такие мысли! девушка - это собирательный образ поклонников и олицетворение их поддержки (хотя как хотелось бы, чтобы в жизни у Йо действительно была такая девушка).
сцена с Тоши и девушками может символизировать НОН эта мысль всё-таки кажется мне надуманной... А слева от Тоши вроде сидит блондинка, похожая на ту, что поддерживает и Йошики.

Я подумал, что это может быть интересно. длинный текст на английскомBecause I should be posting a show report.... but then I got derailed by reading a rather wanky complaint thread about the new Rusty Nail. Thing is, some of the complaints do make some sense.... they were things that bugged me at first too.... the seeming unrelatedness of PV and song, the conspicuous consumption and ZOMG WE CAN DO HOLLYWOOD thing....
But... my theory is that it's not that. X PVs, if anyone is familiar, tend to be multilayered and symbolic and IMO this one is no different.
My theory is as follows. Short version is in bullet points, with explanation afterward:
1) The middle to end is the beginning. In the storyline (not the live, just so no one accuses me of spreading rumors) Toshi's car, with Pata and Heath inside, crashes, and Yoshiki is involved somehow.
2) The beginning is Yoshiki and Sugizo in mourning.
3) The entire PV, rather than being a celebration of consumer culture and product placement with groupies thrown in for lulz.... is possibly a quite subversive questioning of the meaningfulness of consumer culture and easy sex.

If you don't get it by now, this is a very sad, mournful song about loss and grief. Not exactly the thing one would put a ton of OMG YAY LOOKIT OUR SPARKLIES to for no reason at all...
So my theory is that the images of the PV that aren't "live" are very much meant as both a contrast of and exploration of the lyrics. Being that, seen as the beginning being the end.... "Toshi" is enjoying the "luxury life" as much as it can be enjoyed, but it's meaningless. He is but furniture....a mere doll.... as shown in the scene where the groupies/golddiggers play with his hair. He's no more meaningful to them than anything else in the room and probably less.
He sees that he's to meet someone or something somewhere, and he gets his car and goes out for a drive with Pata and Heath in the backseat. Suddenly while everyone's having fun, the speed goes up, the view starts whirling around wildly.... and Toshi is obviously no longer in control of the car....
Then it goes back to the band playing, and no more is seen of them after that aside from a "ghostly" image of Toshi and Heath walking.
The video *begins* with Yoshiki lying in a hospital/in frozen stasis being awakened with severe injuries enough to require a robotic arm. It's known that this was inspired by his RL experiences with surgery and such, but in the story of the "film" of this PV it fits: Yoshiki and possibly Sugizo is/are the survivor(s) of the crash, as explained by Sugizo's releasing the white birds (a symbol of death in Japan) in memory.
Finally then? The video is.... it's a sad story if looked at in this way, and almost perfectly matches the lyrics. As in money can buy apparent happiness, but it cannot get rid of pain or sorrow or sadness - something I'm sure Yoshiki knows all too well from his real life.
