Photos from the “Yoshiki Foundation” party at CLUB NOKIA in LA

Yoshiki, of the Japanese super group “X JAPAN” held a party in LA this past weekend where they released tons of new information about upcoming projects, including a new music video for the song “IV”, as well as a teaser for a new album to be released this fall. Sadly, I had to leave the party early seeing as I had work early the next morning, but from what I saw, a good time was had by all who attended. During a special black carpet event though, Stan Lee of Marvel announced that he and Yoshiki would be working on a project in the coming months.

When asked what his favorite comic was, Yoshiki replied sarcastically that he liked whatever Marvel puts out.
The party was in full swing come 9:00. Strangely though, they had closed off the floor to press. We were only able to use the bar and mezzanine levels.
X Japan also filmed a video for their upcoming song “Born to be Free” after the part.
Sanrio also took the chance to show off their Yoshiki themed “Hello Kitty”, called the “Yoshikitty”.
